One of Aussie boxing's hottest prospects will be in action this weekend when Brock Jarvis makes his US debut.

The 23-year-old who recently signed a long-term deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom will be taking on Alejandro Frias Rodriguez as he looks to continue his rise up the rankings.

Who is Brock Jarvis?

Brock Jarvis is a 23-year-old super-featherweight from Sydney and he's one Australia's best young boxers.

Three-time world champion Jeff Fenech trains and manages Jarvis and has long tipped him for greatness.

Under Fenech's guidance, Jarvis has improved his record to 19-0, with 17 wins coming by knockout.

Now ranked ninth in the world at 130-lbs by the IBF, Jarvis looks for a step up in competition on the world stage.

When is Brock Jarvis fighting?

Jarvis takes on 25-year-old Mexican Alejandro Frias Rodriguez this Sunday, October 17 (Saturday, October 16 in the US) at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, California.

The fight appears on the undercard to American former world champion MIkey Garcia's super-lightweight bout with Spain's Sandor Martin.

Also on the card, WBO light-flyweight champion Elwin Soto will look to defend his belt against Jonathan Gonzalez.

The event is due to get underway at 5pm local time, which is 11am AEDT on Sunday, October 17.

The entire card from Fresno will be broadcast live in Australia through streaming service DAZN.
