WWE will look to end January with a bang as the Royal Rumble makes its return. Taking place inside The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, the Royal Rumble is the true path to take on the road to WrestleMania.

Thirty men and women will be competing for a chance at glory and to be a top contender for a world title of their choosing. On the women’s side, there are a lot of spots to fill to go along with the current group within WWE. One surprise entrant already announced is Impact Wrestling Knockouts world champion Mickie James. Will other Impact Knockouts join Mickie? Besides Lita, there may be a chance we also see Trish Stratus.

Outside of the legends, keep an eye on favorites Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss.

Sporting News is breaking down the women’s Royal Rumble match and providing insight into the betting.

2022 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble prediction

Last year’s winner in Bianca Belair has a great shot (per the odds) at getting her revenge against Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch. With so many potential returns, however, as well as her current booking, Belair’s chances may be lower than we think.

There are chances that Naomi (+2000) and Raquel Gonzalez (+1400) could win, especially the former given her storyline with authority figure Sonya Deville (+4000). Alexa Bliss’ (+600) return has sparked rumors, but it doesn’t appear as though she is ready for the Rumble win.

Out of everyone, the potential returns of Asuka, Bayley and Rousey are ones to keep an eye on. The latter of the three appears to be ready to go and WWE has wanted her to come back for a while. Do not be surprised to see WWE attempt to provide fans the match they never got to see in a Rousey vs. Lynch singles bout at WrestleMania.

Sporting News prediction: Ronda Rousey (-125)
