What a way to send fans off to the October international break: Two of the favorites for the English Premier League title will go head to head in Matchday 7, as Liverpool (14 points) welcomes reigning champion Manchester City (13 points) to Anfield Road in the big match of the weekend.
Both teams could move to the top of the Premier League table with a victory. Liverpool (4-0-2) is the last remaining undefeated team this season, while Manchester City (4-1-1) has allowed the fewest goals in the league so far. Its lone goal conceded was Tottenham's game-winner in the opening match of the campaign.

The two clubs were in action on the road in midweek Champions League group stage matches, but they came away with very different results. Liverpool pounded Porto 5-1, while Man City were defeated 2-0 at PSG in one of the most anticipated matches of the round. Pep Guardiola's men played well, but missed some chances in front of goal, raising the usual questions about their lack of a pure striker.
