One of the first college football games of the year pits an established, perennial Big Ten power in Ohio State against an upstart one in Minnesota.
The Buckeyes are coming off a national championship berth and their first under third-year head coach Ryan Day while the Golden Gophers are just two years removed from a Big Ten title berth and from PJ Fleck taking home Big Ten Coach of the Year honors.
The Buckeyes will be led on offense by freshman signal caller CJ Stroud while Minnesota boasts one of the nation's top returning running backs in Mohamed Ibrahim who led the conference in both yards and touchdowns and he ranked No. 5 in touchdowns nationally.
