Raptors confirm dates for rescheduled games following several postponements

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the NBA schedule, with several games postponed/rescheduled due to players entering the league's health and safety protocols. 

Over 100 NBA players around the league returned positive tests and per NBA rules, a game is postponed when a team has fewer than eight available players.

The Raptors have been one of the most affected teams, seeing as many as 10 players forced to miss games in the month of December, with several of their games postponed. 

On Monday, the team announced that new dates have been confirmed for the postponed games, spread out across January to March, with other games moved around on the schedule to accommodate the changes.

The most notable change to the schedule is their Feb. 1 game against the Miami Heat which marks the return of franchise icon Kyle Lowry. The matchup with the Heat will be Lowry's first game back at Scotiabank Arena since February 2020 after playing nine seasons in Toronto.

On Dec. 30, the Raptors announced that all games at Scotiabank Arena will be played without fans for at least three weeks, making it unclear if there will be fans in the building for Lowry's return.
