Josh Allen may not be superstitious, but now he may be a little 'stitious.

The Bills had an AFC championship game appearance all but locked up on Sunday, after Gabriel Davis' fourth touchdown of the night gave Buffalo a 36-33 lead with just 13 seconds left to play.

Well, as the saying goes, man plans, football gods laugh. In this case, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs drove down to field-goal range, gaining 43 yards in less than 13 seconds, kicked the game-tying field goal and then won in overtime.

The Bills quarterback, though, may have touched the money: After the Davis TD, Allen found his wide receiver and said, "Four touchdowns to send us to the AFC championship? Let's go!"

Narrator: They did not go to the AFC championship game.

Davis' day was still one to remember: He's the first wide receiver in playoff history to secure four receiving touchdowns. He also may be the first to juke a DB into another demension on a route.

The Bills have been something of a snakebit franchise: In the '90s, they famously went to four consecutive Super Bowls, only to lose all four. They're still on the ascent, but were stopped short of the AFC championship game this year after a near, near win.

Next time, Bills players may want to put Allen in the bathroom with the game on the line.
