After earning a thrilling triple-overtime win over the Heat on Saturday, the Raptors are back in action on Monday when they pay a visit to the streaking Hawks.

The Raptors starters took on a heavy workload Saturday, with each member of the starting unit seeing over 53 minutes of action. Pascal Siakam, who finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, four steals and four blocks played a game-high 56 minutes and 31 seconds, but everyone else wasn't too far behind:

  • Scottie Barnes: 56 minutes, 20 seconds
  • OG Anunoby: 55 minutes, 49 seconds
  • Gary Trent Jr.: 55 minutes, 39 seconds
  • Fred VanVleet: 53 minutes, 31 seconds

After having less than 48 hours to recover, this starting unit will be tested with another tough task as they take on the Hawks, winners of seven straight.

Led by All-Star starter Trae Young, Atlanta has surged back into the playoffs with its recent hot streak. Over the course of this impressive stretch, the Hawks have earned wins over the Bucks, Heat, Hornets, Celtics and, most recently, the Lakers.

In Sunday's win over LA, Young finished with 36 points and 12 assists to move the Hawks into the East's Play-In picture and right on the heels of the Raptors.

Eastern Conference Play-In Picture
  Team W L Win% Streak
6 Brooklyn Nets 29 20 .592 L4
7 Charlotte Hornets 28 23 .549 L1
8 Toronto Raptors 24 23 .511 W1
9 Boston Celtics 26 25 .510 W1
10 Atlanta Hawks 24 25 .490 W7
11 Washington Wizards 23 26 .469 L5

Monday night's game is the first of two meetings between the teams this week, as the Hawks will pay a visit to Scotiabank Arena on Friday. The Play-In picture could have a much different look by the week's end.

The matchup between a two-time All-Star in Young and a potential first-time All-Star in VanVleet will be the headliner, but frontcourt battles will be worth keeping an eye on, as Anunoby, Barnes, Siakam and Precious Achiuwa will have their hands full with Clint Capela, John Collins and Onyeka Okongwu.

After Toronto's bench combined to score just nine points on Saturday, Nurse will look to get a bit more from his reserves.

Bench contributions could be the key in this one.
