Matildas star Sam Kerr will be looking to add a UEFA Women's Champions League crown to her growing trophy collection when her Chelsea side battle Barcelona in the final on Monday morning (AEST).

Neither side have won the competition to date with French giants Lyon relinquishing their grasp on the title after an incredible five-year run.

Barcelona saw off Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in their semi-final, while Chelsea edged out Bayern Munich 5-3 to book their spot in the final.

This game will mark the Blues first ever appearance in a UEFA Women's Champions League final, while their Spanish opponents have been here once before in 2019 but couldn't beat Lyon in that year's decider.
