Wallabies legend Toutai Kefu has taken to social media to confirm his release from hospital following Monday’s alleged home invasion that left him with stab wounds to his abdomen.

The 47-year-old was rushed to Princess Alexandria Hospital after an altercation with three teenagers who police will allege entered his Coorparoo home shortly after 3.00am (AEST).

Kefu’s wife and two children were also taken to hospital following the terrifying ordeal.

The veteran of 60 Tests for the Wallabies and 103 appearances for the Reds was reportedly fighting for his life after being stabbed in the stomach.

“Wow, humbling to see the outpouring of love and well wishes from family, friends, community members and the general public,” Kefu posted on Facebook on Wednesday.

“We are all doing well, Josh, Madi & myself are all out of hospital and we’re hoping Rach will be able to join us tomorrow.

“We just want to say thank you for everyone’s support, we feel very lucky and grateful.”

Two 15-year-old boys have been charged while another teenager is in hospital under police guard.
