For Manly, the news is more grim.

JOSH ALOIAI FACES THREE-GAME BAN TO START 2022

Aloiai's dangerous throw on Rabbitohs prop Mark Nicholls in the dying stages of South Sydney 36-16 win on Friday night sees the Manly prop facing a three or four match ban to kick off 2022.

Aloiai's lifting tackle was judged a grade two, with a 300 point base penalty to be hit with 20 per cent loading due to a prior non-similar offence in the last two years.

Aloiai also has 25 carryover points.

An early plea will see him serve a three match ban and walk away with 40 carryover points.

Should he challenge the charge and lose, he'll serve four matches and have 45 carryover points.
