Junior Paulo Origin Game III fight

New South Wales and Parramatta forward Junior Paulo has escaped sanction after he was replaced on report immediately following Wednesday's night Origin finale on the Gold Coast.

A scuffle broke out as Jack Wighton was tackled on the final siren, ending the Blues' chances of a miracle match-winner.

Several players from both sides ran in as the situation briefly threatened to boil over, but Paulo was the only player placed on report.

Replays of the incident weren't shown on the broadcast but the match review committee found nothing worthy of a charge in their report.

Paulo will now be free to play for the Eels in their round 18 match against the Gold Coast, also at Cbus Super Stadium on Friday night.

Speaking to media on Thursday morning, Parramatta coach Brad Arthur said Paulo and debutant halfback Mitch Moses were keen to back up pending any fitness concerns.

The pair, as well as Blues 19th man Clint Gutherson who is a certain starter on Friday, will rejoin their club side on Thursday where a decision will be made on their availability.

More to come.
