NRL judiciary finals week two: Marata Niukore facing one-game ban, Victor Radley cleared

Radley Keppie

Roosters lock Victor Radley has been cleared by the NRL match review committee following what appeared to be a punch to Manly forward Sean Keppie.

A frustrated Radley lashed out at Keppie following a scrum during the second half of the Sea Eagles' big semi-final win over the Roosters in Mackay on Friday.

Radley has been suspended on two separate occasions in 2021 for a total of eight weeks.

The 23-year-old can perhaps consider himself lucky Keppie didn't make more of the hit - any sanction would have included significant loading from prior incidents.

Radley and Keppie had another run-in at a scrum around 10 minutes later, prompting referee Gerrard Sutton to give the pair a warning.

Meanwhile, young Roosters backrower Egan Butcher is facing a fine for grade one dangerous contact on Haumole Olakau'atu early in the second half.

Butcher's tackle as the third man in on Olakau'atu slipped low, jarring into the edge forward's knees.

Two prior non-similar incidents mean Butcher can accept a $1,600 fine with an early guilty plea or risk a $2,100 fine if he fights it and loses.
