The Ariarne Titmus legend continues to grow after the 20-year-old Aussie added gold in the 200m freestyle to the 400m crown she picked up on Monday.
She became just the third Australian, after Shane Gould in 1972 and Ian Thorpe in 2004, to win both the 200m and 400m freestyle at the same Olympics.
While the 200m final on Wednesday was billed as another showdown with American legend Katie Ledecky, it was Hong Kong's Siobhan Haughey and Canadian Penny Oleksiak setting the early pace.
But Titmus has shown time and again she has the power to mow down challengers in the final 50m and she did just that.
Turning half a second down at the 150m mark, Titmus found another gear, drawing level around 20m from the wall and edging in front to win by a margin of 0.42 seconds.
Titmus' time of 1:53.50 set a new Olympic Record, bettering the mark Allison Schmitt set in London.
It's a golden double 🥇

Haughey finished, while in claiming bronze, Oleksiak became Canada's most decorated summer Olympian of all time.
Ledecky's decision to focus on the longer races cleary evident as she failed to fire a shot on the way to a fifth-placed finish in the 200m.
More to come.
