Possibly the wildest Divisional Round in NFL history has come to an end, and fittingly, it was an overtime thriller which wrapped it up.

Three games were ended by walk-off field goal, while the Chiefs pulled one out of the bag with a field goal to send it to OT before scoring the game-winning field goal.

That sees the Chiefs host the Bengals in the AFC Championship game, while the 49ers will take on the Rams in the AFC.

When do the NFL playoffs end 2022?

  • Start date:  Sunday January 16
  • End date: Monday February 14

The first weekend of the playoffs begins on Sunday January 16 (AEDT) with the wild-card round. The divisional round games take place the weekend after, with the conference championships happening on Sunday, Jan. 30.

The 2022 Pro Bowl will take place on Sunday February 7, which is the weekend before the Super Bowl. The NFL season will end on Monday February 14 (AEDT) when the Super Bowl takes place.
