Melbourne United

Matthew Dellavedova - Milwaukee Bucks/Cleveland Cavaliers

Matthew Dellavedova (Cleveland Cavaliers)

Matthew Dellavedova, affectionately known as Delly, was the big marquee signing for the NBL this past off-season. Signing for three years, Delly returns back to Australia a freshly minted Bronze medal-winning Olympian, and a veteran of eight NBA seasons, including a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

Although injury, and complications from a concussion. slowed him down towards the end of his time in America, Delly says he's healthy entering this NBL season.

"The body is feeling great. That's the main thing, I feel like I just need to put a good chunk of time together training but also games," Dellavedova said.

"Playing a lot of minutes and having the ball in my hands, making decisions and things like that. I'm going to have a great opportunity to do that with United."

Zhou Qi - Houston Rockets

The 46th pick overall in the 2016 NBA Draft, Qi played 19 games with the Houston Rockets over two seasons before being waived in 2018.

He was signed by the Minnesota Timberwolves on a 10-day contract on March 30, 2019, and appeared in one game for the Wolves, scoring six points. Creek may one day get back to the NBA, but for now he's content knowing he already made it.

"I had a lot of people say, 'you're not good enough' and still to this day, but at the end of the day, I trusted myself and I can go home with my head held high and my hands in my pockets whistling away going 'it's a pretty f--ing sweet ride.'"

Creek helped the Phoenix reach the playoffs in just their second season in the league.
