Pritish Kokate: NBA Academy India alum enrolls at Eastern Michigan University

Pritish Kokate, an NBA Academy India alum, has enrolled into Eastern Michigan University.

Kokate is the seventh former NBA Academy student-athlete to commit to a high-school or college basketball program in the United States. 

He joins the likes of Harshwardhan Tomar (KEBA Preparatory School), Jagshaanbir Singh (Golden State Prep, Point Park University), Pranav Prince (First Love Christian Academy), Amaan Sandhu (First Love Christian Academy), Riyanshu Negi (DME Sports Academy) and Lalhnehpuia Chhakchhuak (North Park University).

He has enrolled in the school's class of 2025 and is pursuing Sports Management.

What is Pritish Kokate's history with NBA Academy India? 

Kokate, a native of Pune, Maharashtra, was one of eight players selected in 2018 as part of the NBA Academy India's second batch of student-athletes. 

 

 

Kokate has represented the Academy in the NBA Academy Games in Atlanta in 2019 and their two visits to Hungary to participate in the EYBL Central European Division. 

NBA Academy India is an elite basketball training center for the top prospects from across the nation and, with the support of its partner, ACG, the first of its kind in the country.
