Gold Coast Titans front-rower Sam Lisone has re-signed for a further two years, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2024 NRL season.

The 27-year-old was already contracted for next season, but some strong performances this year saw the Titans hand him an extension.

Titans coach Justin Holbrook believes the 110kg wrecking-ball Lisone has a big role to play in the future success of the club.

“Sam brings plenty to our squad and I’m thrilled that he has decided to commit to the Titans long-term," he said.

“He is a leader among our squad and the impact and energy that he brings is extremely important.

“Sam’s experience is also vital to compliment our exciting group of young forwards.”

Lisone has played 119 first grade games to date, 34 of which have come for the Titans since he joined the club in 2020.

His extension comes after the club signed experienced Roosters forward Isaac Liu for next season, as well as extending a host of their younger stars including Jayden Campbell and Toby Sexton.
