Parramatta Eels lock in NSW Origin star Junior Paulo until end of 2026 NRL season

Parramatta Eels front-rower Junior Paulo has re-signed for a further four years, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2026 NRL season.

The 28-year-old has cemented himself as one of the game's elite props, performing well in the State of Origin arena for NSW in the past two series.

Paulo has played 177 NRL games to date with both the Eels and Raiders, and his extension will be a huge boost for the club after losing a few big names.

“Junior is not just a skilful front rower, he is an asset to the club both on and off the field," general manager of football Mark O'Neill said.

"His selection into the NSW Origin team is a testament to his ability and the hard work he puts into his game.”

Parramatta have lost the likes of Reed Mahoney , Isaiah Papali'i and Marata Niukore in recent weeks, with all three men signing deals with rival clubs for 2023 and beyond.

Clint Gutherson and Reagan Campbell-Gillard have also extended their stays at the Eels on long-term deals.
