Kamaru Usman has retained the UFC welterweight championship after a unanimous decision win over Colby Covington at UFC 268.

The champ made it two-nil against Covington and enhanced his case for pound-for-pound number one with another big win.

Earlier, Rose Namajunas retained the women's strawweight title with a split decision win over Zhang Weili.

Having been knocked out early in the first round last time they met, Zhang avoided a repeat of that fate and started brightly, landing a couple of early takedowns.

Neither fighter landed any big shots but both werre scoring through the opening rounds.

Namajunas appeared to take control midway through the fight, spending the majority of rounds four and five on top in grappling exchanges.

When the scores were read out, Namajunas was announced the victor, claiming a split decision win (49-46, 48-47 and 47-48).

More to come.
