Alex Volkanovski means business.
The Aussie featherweight champ has largely been respectful in the build-up to fights on his undefeated UFC run but that's all changed ahead of his meeting with Brian Ortega at UFC 266 this Sunday (Saturday in the US).
Volkanovski has been preparing to fight Ortega for over a year now, having been booked to face him in March before he contracted COVID-19, seeing the bout postponed.
The pair have traded barbs throughout the week as well as during their time as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.
Just days out from the fight, Volkanovski is fired up and at Friday's pre-fight press conference brought up Ortega's chequered past.
"I didn't know about you popping - that shit don't sit well with me," Volkanovski told Ortega as they squared off.
"You don't deserve to be here. You're a f**kin' drug cheat. That's it, done."
Ortega was fined and suspended for nine months back in 2015 after he tested positive to a banned substance, anabolic steroid drostanolone, following a fight.
