Baseball fans are going to have to wait for the start of the second game of the College World Series.

The NCAA announced just before the planned time for first pitch, 7 p.m. ET, that the second game of the College World Series would begin in a rain delay. The organization didn't provide an update for when the game will start.

Sporting News is tracking the latest updates on the weather delay in Omaha, Neb.

College World Series rain delay updates

7:43 p.m.: The Weather Channel is currently projecting the occasional rain to end around 8:30 p.m. ET. Once the rain stops, it will still take some time for the tarp to be cleared, the teams to warm up and the game to start.
