They are the men that put the ball in the back of the net, but who are the top five strikers in the A-League Men's competition?

5. Tomer Hemed (Western Sydney Wanderers)

The former Premier League striker has crossed the ditch to Western Sydney after a successful season at Wellington Phoenix which saw him score 11 goals.

Hemed, an Israeli international, should profit from the expert delivery from the likes of Dimi Petratos and James Troisi.

4. Bruno Fornaroli (Perth Glory)

Fornaroli first graced the A-League Men with Melbourne City in 2015, and since then has scored double figure goals for the season on four occasions, including 24 in his first campaign.

The Uruguayan joined Perth in 2019-20 and has a record of a goal every two games with the Glory.

He will likely form a devastating partnership with former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge.

3. Adam Le Fondre (Sydney FC)

The prolific Englishman returned to the Sky Blues from India at the back end of last season, scoring four goals in seven matches as Sydney FC just fell short in the grand final.

Le Fondre also dominated in his previous two seasons with Sydney FC, scoring 16 goals in his debut campaign and 21 the season following that.

2. Jamie Maclaren (Melbourne City)

The 28-year-old has won three A-League Men's golden boots, including hauls of 25 and 23 goals in his past two seasons for Melbourne City.

Maclaren will have Socceroos star Mathew Leckie alongside him in 2021-22, as Melbourne City put together a salivating attack.

1. Daniel Sturridge (Perth Glory)

The ex-Liverpool has signed with Perth Glory after injuries destroyed his career in Europe and most recently a stint in Turkey.

Sturridge, 32, scored 21 Premier League goals in a stunning 2013-14 campaign and if he can even recover half of that form, he will absolutely tear apart the A-League Men.
