All players in the Australian and West Indies squads are believed to have tested negative for COVID-19, meaning the teams will likely play the remaining two One-Day Internationals on Sunday and Monday [Caribbean time].

A member of the West Indies camp returned a positive test moments before the first ball was bowled in the second ODI, sending all players, staff and media immediately into in-room hotel quarantine.

But the negative results mean the series, which is part of the qualifying pathway to the 2023 ICC World Cup, can be completed.

Sporting News understands the Australian team will fly to Bangladesh after the third ODI on Monday, where they will play five T20 Internationals against Bangladesh.

More to come…
