Paul Gallen and Josh Aloiai confirm fight in heated Instagram exchange

Gallen Aloiai split

Paul Gallen and Josh Aloiai have finally confirmed their upcoming fight, with the pair to step in the ring on December 10th.

After weeks of back-and-forth between the two camps, Gallen and Aloiai took to Instagram on Sunday to exchange a war of words and finally decide the status of their fight.

A lot of the arguments surrounded the length of rounds, with both rugby league stars accusing the other of lying.

Gallen fired off some heavy shots on Aloiai, denying reports that he wanted to fight Joey Leilua instead of the Sea Eagles prop.

“Listen here, b***h. I’ve agreed. Eight x two minute rounds. You’re a b***h," Gallen said.

“I’m just glad people are starting to see the real Josh Aloiai. You know the only thing you’ve done in your whole life is get called Oshay Olay by the freakin CEO of the game.

"You’re a nothing who’s done nothing. You’ve done nothing mate, the only thing you’ve done is be called Oshay Olay.

“The only reason the Rose boys put it to BJ Leilua is because you’re an arrogant p****. I don’t know why you’re arrogant for, you’ve got nothing to be arrogant about, you’ve done nothing.

“They put it to BJ Leilua to put it on you, that’s how dumb you are. You couldn’t even recognise that they were putting it on Leilua, giving him the opportunity to fight me, when I knew nothing about this.

“You can ask the Rose boys, I knew nothing about fighting BJ Leilua, I’ve never even considered it in my life.

“Six three-minute rounds, you got the agreement 10 weeks ago. Then all of a sudden, about a week ago, I hear you got sick.

“When were you sick, mate? You weren’t sick last week because you were posting on social media and you were doing any radio interview that anyone would listen to.

“The week before you were posting on social media, but we’re still six weeks out from the fight.

“You’re a lazy sloth. Just like your football career, you last 10-15 minutes, that’s all your last, the rest is s**t and I’m going to punch the p**s out of your boxing as well.”

Aloiai responded by accusing Gallen of 'telling porkies' about the potential Leilua fight and

“It was six (rounds) by three (minutes) and then you said ‘there’s someone else I want to fight... I’ve got someone that’s a bigger name than you, it’s going to be one of the biggest fights in Australia’.

“Then next minute you’re calling BJ (Leilua), who’s sitting right next to me, and say ‘BJ do you want to fight? We know you haven’t got boxing experience.’

“Aw you don’t know what’s been sent around? Come on Pauly boy, you’re telling porkies.

“All the noise from your camp is saying ‘I’m going to walk through him just like Lucas Browne.’ You wouldn’t be so caught up on the minutes and rounds, why are you so bothered about it? Aren’t you confident you’re going to walk through me like you did to Lucas Browne?

“You want to do the right thing by boxing and you’re trying to fight someone that’s never had an amateur or a pro fight in BJ Leilua.

“Don’t act like you don’t know what was going around.”

The pair eventually agreed to eight two-minute rounds after plenty of barbs, with Ben Damon and George Rose mediating.

Gallen responded by calling Aloiai a dog and claimed that only women fight in two-minute rounds.

“I’ll fight you (in) eight two-minute rounds, yeah...but I’m still saying you’re a dog. Women fight two minute rounds — I’m not being sexist here," he said.

“I’m not happy with it but what do I do?

“I’m a prize fighter. One thing about me is that I’m upfront about what I’m here for. I’m here for the money.

“The thing that annoys me about him is that he’s team put up a post the other day saying ‘morals before money’ the very same day he’s hitting Matt Rose up for more money.

“He’s just full of crap."
