Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey top a list of six departing players at the Gold Coast Titans following the club's agonising finals exit.

The club confirmed that Taylor and Peachey, along with Mitch Rein, Sam Stone, Jai Whitbread and Jonus Pearson, had not been offered new contract with the club beyond this year.

The announcement comes in the wake of the Titans' elimination final loss to the Sydney Roosters.

Taylor's uncertain future has been well-documented this season, following what has been a tumultuous stint in the Gold Coast for the maligned halfback.

Brought to the club on big money and amid huge expectations, Taylor has largely failed to deliver on his promise, yet showed glimpses of his talent over the past two seasons under Justin Holbrook.

The Titans boast two exciting young playmaking prospects in Toby Sexton and Tannah Boyd, who they see carrying the club forward.

Meanwhile, Taylor's next destination is still yet to be confirmed, however he has fielded interest from the Canberra Raiders, who are in the market for a halfback following George William's mid-year move home to the Super League.

Peachey's exit comes despite suggestions Holbrook was weighing up shifting the former NSW origin lock to the halves in 2022.
