The Broncos' divorce with maligned $1 million playmaker Anthony Milford will be made official following a dramatic day at Red Hill.

The Courier Mail reports Milford will officially be shown the door at the end of this season having been told there will be no deal on the table for him next year.

The news follows confirmation Matt Lodge will leave the club with immediate effect, taking up a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Warriors, along with the Broncos announcing the signing of Queensland and Penrith back-rower Kurt Capewell.

It ends what's been a rollercoaster seven-year period at Red Hill for Milford, who has fallen out of favour with Kevin Walters this year despite being the Broncos' highest-paid player.

Milford arrived in Brisbane amid major expectations which he delivered on immediately, guiding the club to the 2015 grand final in his first year at the club after joining from Canberra.

Since then Milford's stocks have fallen dramatically, often made the scapegoat of the club's indifferent performances in recent seasons.
