YouTube sensation-turned boxer Jake Paul will officially fight Tommy Fury in Florida on December 18th.

After months of verbal back-and-forth, the pair will face off in a much-anticipated fight at Tampa's Amalie Arena, in what is set to be Paul's first bout against a professional boxer.

Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, maintains a 7-0 record since starting his professional boxing career in 2018 amidst much fanfare. He was also a runner-up alongside current partner Molly-Mae Hague on the 2019 season of Love Island UK.

“It’s finally official. Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly (Hague, fellow Love Island star)," Paul wrote on Twitter, announcing the fight.

“December 18 in Tampa Bay I’m changing this w***er’s name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady.

“Pucker up Timmy … it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye.”

Since turning professional in January last year and flipping the script in the boxing scene, Paul, a YouTube hit with over 20.4 million subscribers, is yet to be defeated.

He knocked out British YouTube star AnEsonGib in his debut in January 2020, before defeating NBA star Nate Robinson 10 months later.

Paul then claimed a first-round knockout win against former MMA champion Ben Askren in April that sent shockwaves around the world, in what was his first match against a professional fighter.

The fight against Fury though will mark the first time Paul has jumped in the ring with a professional boxer.

The pair were on the same fight card back in August, where they got into a heated verbal altercation, which made the prospect of them getting in the ring at a later date almost inevitable.

“Jake Paul is about to learn a serious life lesson. This is my world, and he doesn’t belong here,” said Fury in a press release.

“I’m not one of these MMA men or basketball players, I have been boxing my whole life. On December 18 I will show the world the difference between a YouTuber and a real fighting man."
