The UFC has confirmed a huge title bout for early-2022, with Australia's Robert Whittaker set for a rematch against middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
The pair did battle in October 2019, with the Kiwi star Adesanya taking the strap off the then-champion Whittaker.
The rematch has been on the horizon since Adesanya defeated Marvin Vettori to retain the title in June, while the Aussie is on a three-fight win streak.
UFC made the fight official during Sunday's UFC 269 event, with the title fight scheduled for February 13th (AEDT).
The fight will headline UFC 271 pay-per-view event in Houston, Texas.
Whittaker (23-5) hasn't lost since he dropped the title to Adesanya (21-1) over two years ago.
