Game of the Night
Dallas and Denver are expected to be two of the teams contending for the Western Conference crown.
They are also led by two of the league's top MVP candidates, with both Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic putting on a show in Dallas.
Doncic fell two rebounds shy of a triple-double with 23 points, eight boards and 11 assists, while Jokic stuffed the stat sheet to tally 35 points, 16 rebounds and six assists.
Leading by as many as 13 points early in the third quarter, the Mavericks worked their way back into the game before a 32-18 final quarter locked up the win.
In addition to Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis produced his best game of the season, finishing with 29 points and 11 rebounds, including 5-for-8 shooting from long range.
The Mavericks now improve to 9-4 on the season to sit third in the Western Conference.
Highlight of the Night
How about a little bit of defence for tonight's play of the night?!
It's looking like another tough season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Anthony Edwards remains a nightly highlight machine.
Honourable mention to Obi Toppin, because a Toppin throwdown gets the Garden rocking like nothing else in 2021-22.
Performance of the Night
DeMar DeRozan just keeps on cooking.
Acquired by the Bulls in the offseason, DeRozan could hardly have made a better first impression with fans in Chicago.
The veteran wing scorched the Lakers to finish with 38 points on 15-for-23 shooting from the field.
According to StatMuse, it was DeRozan's 4th game of 35+ points in the month of November, tying a career-high.
The Bulls continue to roll in the season's early going, now holders of a 10-4 record to sit third in the Eastern Conference.
