James and Stewart did not appear to acknowledge each other at tip, instead getting on with business on the floor.

Last week's incident, in which James received and one-game suspension and Stewart received two games, set the internet alight, with many expecting fireworks from today's matchup.

While the interaction between the two was subdued, the home crowd at STAPLES Center were quick to make their feelings known, loudly booing Stewart during player introductions and on an early trip to the free-throw line.

In a somewhat anti-climactic event, the pair would match up on occasion during the first half, but there were no signs of any incident brewing, much to the disappointment of the crowd, who would again boo Stewart when he passed the ball away from an individual battle with LeBron.

In the second half, James drained a corner triple right in Stewart's face.

Aside from the intrigue around James and Stewart, the game was a must win for the Lakers, who improved to .500 with a 110-106 win.
